Siamese
Siamese cats are easily one of the most recognizable cat breeds. Even people who aren’t “cat people” can often name this breed with ease. Siamese cats are among the oldest domesticated cat breeds in the world.
Siamese cats are known for their intricate personalities. If you’re looking for a quiet cat, there are many better options than the Siamese. But they absolutely love their owners and often become their human’s new shadow. You may find yourself tripping over them time and time again. If you’re looking for a devoted companion and best friend, the Siamese is a wonderful choice. This breed is one of the most playful and active around. Not only that, but they’re super intelligent as well. This means that they require a lot of physical and mental stimulation. Interactive chase toys, puzzles, or large cat trees are recommended to help provide the proper entertainment they require. When compared to other cats, they are just so much more of an engaged member of the family.
Balinese
Balinese cats are a wonderful family cat! They’re great with kids and adults. Balinese are active members of the family and do not like being left alone for long periods of time. It is recommended for two cats or enough toys and stimulation if leaving the cat for longer time alone.
The Balinese cat is known as a long-haired Siamese. It’s the only longer-haired relative to a Siamese. The Balinese’s coat is a single layer without undercoat and is very silky. You’ll also notice that they have a tail plume that can be up to five inches long.
The Balinese cat is not going to be that bump on the couch cat. They’re quite active and have high energy levels. Balinese are extremely curious and inquisitive and may try to force themselves into anything that you’re doing.
And they’re vocal too, just like the Siamese so be prepared for many kitty conversations. If you’re looking for a quiet cat, the Balinese is not it.
Balinese are very playful and affectionate cats. They just love all the attention you can give and more.
What Style are you looking for?
THE BALINESE (TICA Registered) is a long haired version of the Modern Siamese. The Balinese hair is like silk and is low shedding and non matting.They do not have a thick double coat which is common to most long-haired breeds. Their tails are graceful and should have a full and flowing plume.
THE TRADITIONAL SIAMESE(also known as Applehead or Thai) is a big boned, round faced, rounded bodied, heavy, and healthy cat. This is the original Siamese to come out of Siam (Thailand) with all the loyalty, high intelligence and talkative personality the Siamese breed is famous for.
